Ruma Care provides comprehensive autoimmune disease tracking, data capture, billing, and prior authorization solutions for rheumatology practices. We create purpose-built technology, strategies, and partnerships to help private practice rheumatologists and practice managers bring in more income and reduce patient flares with our autoimmune-focused remote therapeutic monitoring and billing platform. We are currently piloting with clinics in California and Nevada.

Meng Fei Shen

CO-FOUNDER & CEO

Meng Fei Shen is a product leader from Uber and Walmart Data Ventures, where she built and scaled automation tools that served over 30 million users. She led a digital health initiative in remote monitoring with the U.S. Health and Human Services, bringing valuable experience in healthcare technology to the autoimmune space.


Her passion for this work is deeply personal—her grandfather suffered from Psoriatic Arthritis, and she volunteers with the Arthritis Foundation, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges patients and families face with autoimmune conditions.

Christina Huang

CO-FOUNDER & CTO

Christina Huang's personal battles with securing the biologics needed for her chronic immune condition fueled her passion for solving problems in the healthcare space.


She brings years of experience building ML and software products at Apple and Bloomberg. She led EHR integrations for healthcare systems at Medallion, combining her deep expertise in healthcare technology and machine learning with a personal understanding of the challenges autoimmune patients face navigating complex treatment pathways.


Dr. Hang Liu (MD/PhD)

ADVISOR & EVANGELIST

Dr. Hang Liu earned her MD/PhD from Harvard University and spent over a decade of experience as a rheumatologist and immunologist specializing in autoimmune conditions, giving her deep insight into the challenges healthcare providers face daily and the critical need for technology that enhances clinical outcomes. Her groundbreaking research in COVID vaccine development and immunology has been adopted by Moderna and influenced U.S. national health policy.


She brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and industry experience to her role as Product Evangelist, where she champions innovative health technology solutions that transform patient care. Outside of Ruma Care, Dr. Liu serves as a medical liaison at UCB, bridging the gap between clinical practice and biopharma strategy, and translating complex medical insights into actionable business solutions.
